| The flexibility The Old Stables offers is one of its most important and beautiful selling points. Located within the St. Cassians centre grounds, but within a separate part of the complex, The Old Stables consists of three individual rooms each with a different specification, but they are all spacious, light and provide a relaxing environment perfect for hosting your conference or function. The Benet Room and The Benildus Room are of a very similar size and specification. Both have a board room table available if desired, as well as laptop points, projector screens and fixed ceiling projectors incorporated. Both rooms also have a full audio system built in and a variety of lighting options and room-layouts available depending on the type of event you plan to hold. There are gender specific toilets, as well as a disabled toilet located along a short corridor next to the Benildus room, and sinks are either within the rooms themselves or a small kitchenette close by. In addition, the entire of The Old Stables complex is wheelchair accessible. The Benet and Benildus rooms can each comfortably accommodate between 15 and 30 people depending on what type of function, conference or meeting you are intending to hold, and therefore the required lay-out of the rooms. Please do not hesitate to contact us regarding any queries about The Old Stables facilities, either generally or in a more specific, individual context, as we will be more than happy to assist you. | ![]() |
![]() | The third of the rooms The Old Stables has to offer, The Damian Lundy room, is a larger function or conference suite available for hire either individually, or as part of an entire booking incorporating all three rooms within the conference centre. The Damian Lundy room has a maximum capacity of 120 people, either in a conference lay-out or in a lay-out appropriate to dining and required for a family function. This room is our premiere venue and is most commonly booked for family parties and celebrations, as well as for charity events and in-set or ‘away’ days. It is multi-purpose with a calm and relaxing atmosphere, again which can be adapted to suit your purpose and specifications. The venue hire includes use of the two drop-down projector screens and accompanying ceiling mounted projectors, as well as use of the built-in surround sound audio equipment. There is a wash-basin located unobtrusively in the far corner of the room which can prove useful particularly during creative workshops or family events and meetings, and the bathroom facilities are incredibly handy, just up a few steps on the level above alongside The Benildus room. The disabled toilet can be easily accessed via an alternative route if necessary. |
| The hire charges exclude refreshments which can be purchased as an extra for £1.75 per head and include tea or coffee. However, the centres own natural spring water is included. Other catering options such as buffets or lunches, either hot or cold, are charged separately and details can be found under the catering pages, though please note that we pride ourselves on being a community run, person-centred function suite and conference facility and so are always willing to discuss slight alterations to packages if desired, as we want to facilitate your event so it meets your every expectation. | ![]() |
